I was born and grew up in Chattanooga but moved away for many years after finishing college. Following graduation from veterinary school at the University of Georgia, I fell in love with feline-exclusive practice while practicing at a cats-only clinic in Charlotte, NC. After returning home to Chattanooga, I founded the Cat Clinic in order to continue working with the cats I love.

I just recently graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Concentration in Sociology. After graduation, I moved home to Johnson City, TN, for a little while to try and figure out what exactly I wanted to do. I have always loved animals and have been a pet owner all of my life. So far, I have owned and fostered many dogs and cats as well as a chicken named Katherine which lives at a church camp in my hometown.
Working at the Cat Clinic has been amazing! I get to do what I love like working with the media, writing newsletters, and communicating with clients along with playing with animals all day long! I couldn’t have asked for a better career and have found my calling to promote the life and well-being of all animals. Currently, I am living in the North Chattanooga area with my dog Edie and my newest addition, Apollo whom I adopted from the clinic in March 2009.
I am currently a student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as well as a Radioman in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. I moved to Chattanooga about 8 months ago from Franklin, TN after wrapping up a second tour overseas. I spend a lot of time outdoors with my dogs (Emma and Harley) and on the water; specifically the Hiawasse River.
Since I was very young I have had the good fortune of being around all kinds of animals in my household; from fence walking barn cats to African Grey parrots. I guess that's why I absolutely love working at the Cat Clinic. Working with and taking care of cats everyday is truly a reason to be excited about going to work in the morning.

Although I’ve been a pet owner my whole life, I had never had a cat until a few years ago. I fell in love immediately, and now own more than I probably should. I was living in North Chattanooga during the time the Cat Clinic was being built, and knew that this would be the place I would go for veterinary care for my cats. I worked at the Chattanooga Zoo before I came to the Cat Clinic, and when the time came for me to leave the Zoo, I knew where I wanted to work.
I love working at the Cat Clinic, and hope to stay here for a very long time.
A long-time cat lover and owner, I started working with cats part-time in 2001 as a change of pace from my job as a software engineer. Before long, I traded the software and cubicle for the pleasure of caring for cats full time. Since then I've been lucky enough to work with feral cats, pampered pets and big cats. My poor house cats have endured a parade of feline visitors ranging from tiny feral kittens to subadult tigers.
The Cat Clinic and staff impressed me when I was a client, so I'm delighted to be a part of the Cat Clinic Team and to help bring Chattanooga the best in cat care.
